Course Overview

Mission: The NAPT Course provides the activity professional with a strong base of knowledge, as well as the necessary skills and techniques to provide therapeutic activity services to clients and residents in a long term care setting.

Curriculum - This course is 8 weeks long and covers the following:

• Week 1 – The People We Serve
• Week 2 – Disease and Longevity
• Week 3 – End of Life Care
• Week 4 – Senior Living
• Week 5 – Facility Programming
• Week 6 – Regulations
• Week 7 – Documentation
• Week 8 – Fundamentals and Final Exam

The N.A.P.T. Course is accepted by and prepares each Student for

APNCC - Activity Professionals National Credentialing Center Board Certification

APNCC AP-BC, AAP-BC, & AC-BC Board Certifications are recognized under CMS F-Tag 680 & 658
